Dear ILDS Members,
Before I introduce our bidding programs, I would like to share with you one thing about 2023. You're going to have a great time in Beijing.
The history of Beijing dates back to more than five thousand years ago, which has left Beijing with a huge number of cultural and historical sites of interests. Along with the iconic imagery of the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall, the city offers an endless mixture of entertainment. With economic success, the new Beijing has developed into a dynamic modern metropolis with 5,000 years of cultural treasures woven into the urban tapestry.
Today, Beijing is becoming increasingly appealing for organizing international congress. Numerous international conferences are held in Beijing each year. The venue China National Convention Center (CNCC) is China's largest and newest international conference center with more than 50 meeting rooms, great exhibition hall and luxury banquet hall. Many various hotels and rooms near to CNCC will be available for our delegates and guests. And Chinese Society of Dermatology is very experienced in holding international conferences, such as International Congress of Dermatology, etc. Moreover, Beijing is one of the safest cities in the world. We want to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable while they enjoy their time at WCD.
Seven hundred years ago, amazed by his incredible descriptions of a faraway land of great beauty, people asked Marco Polo whether his stories about China were true. He answered: "What I have told you was not even half of what I saw". Actually, what we have shown you here today is only a fraction what of Beijing has to offer. We strongly believe Beijing will be a very suitable and welcoming host city for the 2023 WCD.
