Community Skin Health (CSH) was formerly known as the Community Dermatology Journal. It is a dermatology resource for healthcare workers in under-served areas and provides up to date, relevant information on the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease. It is a useful resource for educating health workers and the populations they serve and for keeping in touch with dermatology services in low-resource areas. As of 1 August 2026, CSH journal will become part of Clinical and Experimental Dermatology (CED), and be published as a supplement in CED. The CSH will be available to read on the Oxford University Press (OUP) platform: https://academic.oup.com/ced/
It will continue to be published twice a year. All articles will be published free to read thanks to the ILDS and the authors will own copyright of their own articles. We kindly request that all authors select standard licence once their article has been accepted. If you have any queries regarding the submission process, then please email ced@bad.org.uk
Submission process
The Community Skin Health provides practical dermatology information relevant to health workers practising in remote, resource-restricted settings.
Many of the submissions are invited by the Editors and come from dermatology specialists from around the world. The Editorial Board also invites original research, teaching reviews on dermatological diseases, commentaries, concise reports, case reports, educational articles with a CPD learning format, photo quizzes, photo stories, journal club reviews, book reviews, news of forthcoming educational events and correspondence.
Suggestions for future articles are warmly welcome
