Advisors provide expertise and guidance to a Lancet Commission. Typically, senior figures or specialists whose expertise complements the Commission's focus offer feedback on draft findings, advise on technical, policy or regional matters, and contribute at key stages. Drawn from academia, civil society, government or other sectors, they broaden the Commission's perspective and connect it to relevant stakeholders. Unlike commissioners, advisors are acknowledged in the final report but do not share authorship. Their input strengthens the rigour, relevance and credibility of the work.
