BCC & SCC Dermatopathology Course
The ASMS Dermatopathology course is a “pure pathology” educational experience, with a focus on basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas –the skin cancers most often treated with Mohs surgery. It is designed as a refresher course for dermatologists and a more intensive learning activity for other specialists without prior residency training in skin pathology. Day 1 includes lectures and the opportunity to view numerous BCC and SCC pathology slides under the microscope. Day 2 features examination and discussion of Mohs histopathology slides by pathologists and Mohs surgeons using a video microscope to project case slide images.
