The International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI), established in 1923, is the world's longest-standing international organisation dedicated to the prevention and control of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The organisation promotes global collaboration among healthcare professionals, researchers, and public health authorities to improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of STIs, including HIV.
Beyond clinical and medical concerns, IUSTI places strong emphasis on the social, behavioural, and epidemiological factors that influence the spread and control of sexually transmitted infections. Through education, research, advocacy, and international cooperation, the organisation works to advance sexual health and strengthen public health responses to STI and HIV prevention worldwide.
The theme for the Congress is 'Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers: Shaping The Future of STI and HIV prevention and Care'. Set against the backdrop of the charming city of Prague, their congress offers a platform for scientific discourse and an opportunity to immerse oneself in the charm of this historic city. World experts will share their experience in the research, epidemiology, diagnostics and therapy of sexually transmitted diseases.
When: 14 - 17 October 2026.
