This week is the 75th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva. The ILDS holds official relations status with the World Health Organization (WHO) which allows us to attend the WHA and make statements to member states. This gives us the opportunity to champion dermatology and skin health and ensure its inclusion in global health policy. The ILDS has contributed to two Constituency Statements at the 2022 WHA; one on Human resources for health and a second on Non-Communicable Diseases. Working together with other health professional organisations strengthens the voice of healthcare professionals around the world.
Representing over 200,000 dermatology professionals, the ILDS continues to keep dermatology on the global health policy agenda. An exciting new collaboration is being launched during this year's WHA; the Global Dermatology Coalition. Look out for updates and further details tomorrow!
