ILDS Medal for Achievements in Global Dermatology
The ILDS, as part of its work in global dermatology, aims to recognise dermatologists and others in the field of dermatological care who have made an outstanding contribution to improving the experience for people with skin diseases.
Presented every two years (from 2025), the ILDS recognises the contribution to international dermatology of an outstanding individual in the field and is the highest honour the ILDS can bestow. Selected by the ILDS Board, the recipient is invited as a special guest to attend either the World Congress of Dermatology or the ILDS World Skin Summit (depending on the year). Their Award is presented on stage by the ILDS President.
