Every day, ILDS members are making an extraordinary difference to skin health around the world. Through pioneering research, education, advocacy and patient care, they are advancing dermatology and improving the lives of millions of people.
The ILDS Awards celebrate these outstanding achievements, recognising individuals whose dedication, leadership and lasting impact have helped shape the future of global dermatology. As part of the ILDS's commitment to advancing skin health worldwide, these awards honour dermatologists and others working across the field of dermatological care who have made exceptional contributions to the profession and the communities they serve.
The ILDS Certificate of Appreciation Awards are presented annually to individuals nominated by ILDS Members in recognition of their outstanding contributions in one of the following categories:
Recognising dermatologists who have made an exceptional contribution to advancing international dermatology. These individuals have demonstrated outstanding leadership on the global stage, influencing health policy and clinical practice, fostering international collaboration in research and education, and empowering dermatologists, member societies and communities worldwide to improve skin health.
Recognising individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving skin health in underserved communities through selfless, humanitarian and not-for-profit work. These recipients have made a lasting impact by expanding access to dermatological care, building local capacity and delivering sustainable improvements in skin health for populations with the greatest need.
For the 2027 and future cycles of the CoA Awards, eligible ILDS Members* can nominate one person only in each category.
*Eligible ILDS Members are those that are active and in good standing (with no outstanding fees).

ILDS Member organisations can submit up to two nominations for the 2027 Awards, one in each of the following categories:
All ILDS Member Society President's and Organisational Liaison's have been emailed with a link to the nomination form.
The deadline for nominations is 31 October 2026.
Please ensure you submit your nominations in good time as those received after the deadline date will not be considered.
